The Freedom Closet: A New Way To Thrift With Purpose
Cry Freedom Missions is excited to announce the grand opening of The Freedom Closet, a brand-new thrift shoppe with a heart for healing and hope. Located at 2303 & 2305 East Ash Street, The Freedom Closet isn’t just a store—it’s a mission in motion. Every purchase directly supports Cry Freedom Missions’ safe house, long-term recovery programs, and trauma-informed care for survivors of human trafficking.
Empowering Survivors, One Sale at a Time
The shoppe will offer on-the-job training and employment opportunities for program graduates, equipping them with the skills and experience they need to step confidently into the workforce and towards independence.
The Freedom Closet will also help fund renovations for Cry Freedom Missions’ newest safe house—an incredible gift received in 2024 that will offer transitional housing for women exiting the recovery program.
Expanding Community Impact
One exciting feature of the new shoppe is the Baby Boutique, previously housed at the Wayne Pregnancy Center. Clients who participate in parenting and life skills classes earn vouchers to shop the boutique, which offers baby essentials, children’s items, and household goods. With the move to the Thrift Shoppe, the Baby Boutique will expand its inventory and reach even more families in need!
